How often should I schedule a deep cleaning service?

For most homeowners, a one-time deep cleaning every 6 to 12 months is usually sufficient. If you aren't receiving regular cleaning on a weekly or bi-monthly basis, you may want to schedule cleanings more frequently.

Can I ask for special requests or request focus on certain areas?

Yes! We are happy to accommodate any special requests you may have. If parts of your home are especially cluttered or untidy, our team can spend their time just on those areas so that you get the best value for your money. Common special requests we receive include: de-griming baseboards, cleaning inside cabinets, removing pet hair from furniture, and de-cluttering closets.

Merry Maids® of Charlotte has been locally owned and operated by the Litzelman family since May 5, 1995. For 30 years, we have provided our clients with outstanding customer service and sparkling clean homes. We take great pride in our family-like culture. Our clients and our team members are our family. Our goal has always been to support our team members, whether it is helping them buy their first home, sending their children to college, or helping them save for retirement.

We are a proud women-owned business with second generation owner Jenny, and a women-managed office with franchise manager Karolina, quality control supervisor Maira, and laundry attendant Esperanza. The Chief Barketing Officer position is held by Shay, Jenny’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Shay has been an office staple since he was three months old, and he takes his job of greeting clients and staff very seriously. Please come say hello to Shay anytime!

We are deeply passionate about Charlotte and its surrounding areas, and love getting involved with local causes. Our goal is to provide our clients with “one less thing to worry about™.” You have better things to do with your time than clean your home or office. We proudly clean all residential spaces and small commercial spaces (less than 5,000 square feet) such as veterinary offices, warehouses, and small businesses. Whether it is a clinic or a condo, we've got you covered! We do not believe in contracts and offer a variety of service options. Our service area expanded to include Fort Mill, South Carolina as of July 2025, and as of January 2026, we have have expanded our offerings to include laundry services. Spring Celebrations

Merry Maids home office representatives Evan & Isabelle visited our Charlotte location this March. They shared in the joy of some big celebrations! First, we continued celebrating Kelly as our 2025 Team Member of the Year. The TMOTY award recognizes a service provider who provides outstanding customer service, impeccable cleaning quality, and acts a leader to their peers. Kelly was incredibly deserving of this honor. We also celebrated the recipients of our Best Attendance Award, Altagracia & Erika. And on February 28, 2026, Jessica celebrated her 15 year anniversary with our office! Solo Cleaner

Congratulations Kelly! Kelly is our office's Team Member of the Year. Recognized on a national level by Merry Maids®, we are thrilled that Kelly is representing Merry Maids of Charlotte with her hard work and positivity. Kelly joined Merry Maids five years ago. She started as a teammate and learned outstanding customer service and quality from her team captain, Luz. Together, Luz & Kelly carried our biggest schedules and had outstanding client satisfaction. In 2025, Kelly wanted to grow in her position and became a solo cleaner. As a solo cleaner, Kelly maintains a perfect 5-star rating. Her clients adore her, and she is a shining light in our office. Thank you, Kelly, for all you do!

Yasmin joined Merry Maids January 10, 2019. Yasmin started as a teammate, and now she is a team captain, delighting her clients with her partner Fabian. Her clients describe her as "sweet, professional, and very thorough." When Yasmin is not working, she spends time with her husband, two daughters, and her five dogs. Yasmin is our pet whisperer, learning the names of all client's pets, and befriending them during cleanings.

Shay has been an employee at Merry Maids since he was three months old. He just celebrated his 8th birthday with the rest of the Merry Maids team. Shay offers snuggles and kisses to staff and clients alike, and has never met a stranger. His favorite cleaning product to play with is a feather duster, and can be found snoring under Jenny's desk every afternoon.
